The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 was released in 1986 and saw Hooper reprising his role as director with a screenplay by L. M. Kit Carson. He originally didn't intend to direct the movie, but there was no one he approved on in the budget. He didn't want to do the same thing over, though, so he instead wrote a
